Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Is a certificate the same as a degree?

No. A certificate records that you completed a defined course of continuing education. A degree is conferred by a licensed or authorized degree-granting institution. ICONIC Academy is not one, does not grant degrees of any kind, and does not offer academic credit.

Does a certificate let me practice, or expand what I can do?

No. A certificate is not a license and confers no scope of practice. It does not authorize you to do anything you could not do before. What it documents is education completed.

Will an ICONIC Academy course help me get an ICONIC Board credential?

No, and this is deliberate. Academy courses carry no weight toward any ICONIC Board credential, are not a prerequisite for one, and are not considered in Board review. The two organizations share ownership and are kept strictly separate on exactly this point.

Are these courses for people wanting to enter the field?

No. Our courses are continuing professional education for practitioners already working in their field. They are not entry training and do not prepare anyone to begin practice.

Do the courses count toward continuing education requirements elsewhere?

That depends entirely on the body setting your requirement. Many accept documented continuing education from outside providers; some require the provider to be pre-approved. Check with whoever holds your requirement before assuming, and we will supply hours documentation for any submission.

Is ICONIC Academy accredited?

No. We do not claim accreditation and would not describe ourselves as accredited unless a recognized accreditor had granted it.

How is a certificate verified?

Each certificate carries a unique verification link showing the course, the learning hours, and the completion date. Anyone you share it with can confirm it.

What is the refund policy?

Full refund within 14 days of enrollment if you have completed less than 25 percent of the course. After that, no refund. Stated plainly so nobody has to search for it.
